Katie Miller

I grew up playing sports my entire life- specifically year-round swim team and lacrosse. When I got to college I finally got in the routine of going to the gym regularly. It wasn’t until I felt I hit rock bottom that fitness became my absolute passion. For me, fitness saved my life and I want to be able to share that with people around the world.

Read below for a little background:

In 2009 I was approaching my senior year of high school and bluntly spoken, I hated myself. I was the most insecure and shy girl you would have ever met. I decided that weight depicted how "beautiful" women were so I decided to starve myself in hopes that it would make me a happier person. I lost a ton of weight and was extremely malnourished and tired. I remember going on runs in my neighborhood and falling 4 or 5 different times because I hadn't eaten for the past 2-3 days besides a few celery sticks. I still hated myself even though I had lost a ton of weight. The end of 2011 I got my life together. I met my soon to be husband who taught me confidence, I made the decision to take control of my life. I entered in my first bikini competition in 2011 and that's where I learned even more confidence, which lead me to compete in several other shows around the nation with top placing finishes. I've added so much muscle, I eat 5-6 x daily, but most importantly I am the happiest I've ever been. The reason I am a personal trainer is because I want to show women that being healthy will not only make you look and feel better but it can do amazing things to your self confidence. I hope there's someone out there that this helped, I want to inspire people, and I want people to tell me because of you I didn't give up.
